Overview

Word Lists group high-frequency Mandarin vocabulary into practical, themed study collections (such as Common Animals, Food & Dining, or HSK 3 Core Vocabulary).

Supported Features

1. Character Interaction

Desktop: Click on any card to open the Character Action Panel.
Mobile: Click on any card to expand the full Character Action Panel.

2. Study Tracking

Tap Begin () to track focused study and practice time toward your weekly goals. See Study Session Tracking.

3. Selected Definition Mode

Toggle the Target icon () in the top action bar to switch between Focused View (single target meaning) and Expanded Pills (all secondary definitions).
Focused View (ON): Displays only the specific target definition intended for this deck or tutor assignment.
Expanded Pills (OFF): Expands each card to reveal all secondary translations as selectable pills (e.g. Ox, Cow, Bull, + 2 more).

4. Practice Activities & Launchers

Launch dedicated study modes directly from the top action bar:
- Zen Study (Study): Non-graded character familiarization.
- Flashcards (Flashcards): Active recall using the FSRS Memory Engine.
- Vocab Test (Test): Auto-graded quizzes with Pinyin typing and tone drills.

5. Printable Worksheet Export

Click Export in the top action bar to generate a custom A4 handwriting practice sheet pre-filled with this list. Learn more in Practice Sheets.
